The Emergency Department of CRMC provides our surrounding communities with comprehensive emergent and urgent care 24 hours a day. Nearly 15,000 patients receive emergency care in our 2 major trauma and 6 minor trauma rooms yearly by highly skilled board-certified emergency physicians, as well as nurses, paramedics, technicians, clerks and registrars.
When a patient enters our Emergency Department a triage nurse will assess him/her and determine the level of urgency based upon chief complaint, medical history, symptoms and other valuable data needed in the decision making process. Then the patient is seen by a physician according to the severity of symptoms.
Our staff is very attentive to providing positive outcomes for all our patients. Timely service is important to our patients and critical to addressing emergent health issues. CRMC continually looks for ways to reduce wait times for patients seeking our emergency services and currently boasts for having the shortest wait time in the area.
